Samsung today announced the launch of their latest premium laptop in India, Series 9 for high price at Rs. 1,02,990 INR. At this price point it is one of the most costly premium laptop to be sold here in India. As far as availability of this machine is concerned, its available at Samsung Premium Stores in the country.
The Series 9 notebook have a 13.3 inch display with bezel size of around an inch, it weighs around 1.16KG which is again seems very light as closer as it can be to a macbook air. It runs on ultra-low voltage version of Intel’s i7 Ivy-Bridge CPU clocked at 1.9GHz. It comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM, a 256GB SSD, Intel HD Graphics 400, and a 1.3-megapixel web camera for video calling and conferencing, it can run windows 8 as well considering all the hardware configuration it has.
Ports wise it has a micro-HDMI, VGA, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 along with a SD memory card reader. It also packs in a 6-cell battery that has a rated life of 9 hours, samsung has claimed that it should give you a battery backup time of around 6.5 hours.
Apart from series 9, Korean based company also launched Series 5 550P notebook which is powered by a quad-core Intel Ivy Bridge i7 processor, a full High Definition display but with a 17 inch model only. It also has a 2GB Nvidia GeForce GT 650M graphics card and a blu-ray drive with 2TB hard drive. The notebook is offered in 15-inch and 17-inch models. It starts at Rs 62,990 for the 15 inch one.
Apart from they also launched the Series 3 laptops which are their lost cost laptops for price sensitive customers, but Series 3 notebooks are powered with Intel’s third generation Ivy Bridge i7 processors and lower and they start at a price of Rs. 48,490 INR
