Samsung India has launched its new tablet device Samsung Galaxy Note 800 in India on 24th August 2012 at Rs. 39,990. The Note 800 is the larger note device with a small screen Galaxy Note 5.3 inch version. The USPs of the new Note 800 is its powerful processing capabilities, multi-screen multi-tasking capabilities, large battery life and compact form factor. Apart from this, it has a stylus as well which Samsung calls the S-Pen. The reason why this is different from the Samsung Tab lineup and is in the Galaxy Note lineup is the sleek form factor and Stylus which enables lots of innovative and useful applications possible on the Galaxy Note 800.

At the price point, it may look expansive, but with the form factor and performance it delivers, it can be a very potent laptop or netbook alternative and a tough competitor for the popular iPad.

We don’t have much to complain or wish from the Galaxy Note 800 as it is loaded beyond our pre-launch expectations. With the price point of under Rs. 40,000 it does seem to be a potent competition for the iPad. In my opinion, the Note 800 is equipped well and does deliver great value in the price segment in which it has been placed.
