iPhone has not been able to play flash content in the default Safari Browser, but not anymore. There is a runtime environment called Gordon which is a open source run time environment written purely in Java Script which enables to run the flash animations [.swf] files run in the safari browser of your iPhone using some Java Script wrappers.

I am really excited to see moving animations on my iPhone. Hope we see some way of making all kind of animations run in Safari Browser.

Wow played on my iphone perfectly…very impressive. How can I get my flash files to play on an iphone? I’d love to be able to make them work somehow!! You guys are amazing…keep up the good work!
