Redsn0w 0.9 has been recently released by iPhone Dev Team for windows and Mac OS, it can do jailbreaking, unlocking and customisation of iphone UI – that means you can change the boot logos, recovery logos and verbose boot.
Right now Redsnow 0.9 beta 3 is released and it supports all iphones and ipod touches except ipod touch 3G, this tool is made to work on Windows and Mac OS [ x86 ] and it works for firmware 3.0 and 3.1.2, Once this tool is out of beta it will support iPod touch 3G, PPC OSX, and Linux.
Note: For Late Models iPhone 3GS, or if you have an iPod touch 2G whose serial number begins with “MC”, you can use redsn0w to jailbreak but you are currently restricted to “tethered” rebooting. That means you need to connect your device to a computer to complete the boot after a reset and these devices cannot have custom logos.

after jailbreak is complete, what do I do if I have to reboot?, after I connect my phone to pc to complete boot?, do I run redsnow again.
