Jail-breaking your iPhone with firmware 3.1.3 may sometimes cause push notifications problem. In such cases, many application like email, facebook, twitter and may more which use push notifications, may not be able to provide push based services and alerts.

To fix this issue, there is a free utility called Push Doctor by anethema which can fix this problem in a blink. You need to add a repository and install push doctor via Cydia on your jail-broken iPhone / iPod Touch. Follow the instructions below to fix this issue.

Step 1: Go To Cydia > Manage > Sources > Edit > Add and type the below url in the box which you see on this screen :

Step 2: Go to search, type Push Doctor and tap search. Select and install Push Doctor.

If you have accidentally upgraded your unlocked iPhone 3G to 3.1 3 firmware and lost your unlock because of the Baseband changes, here is a good news for you.

FuzzyBand is a Cydia App which can downgrade your iPhone baseband from 05.12.01 to 04.26.08.

It has a limitation that it works only for iPhone 3G running 3.1.3 firmware with older boot rom 05.08 and not for iPhone 3G with newer boot roms. It also does not work for iPhone 3Gs.

Steps to Use FuzzyBand To Downgrade iPhone 3G Baseband from 05.12.01 to 04.26.08 And Unlock iPhone 3G

1. Jailbreak your iPhone 3G using Pwnage Tool
2. Launch Cydia and search FuzzyBand App in Cydia. Install the App.
3. Launch the FuzzyBand App and click the Downgrade Option.
4. Reboot your iPhone 3G after the downgrade completes.
5. Unlock your iPhone 3G Using Ultrasn0w 0.9.2

Be careful that this tool works only for iPhone 3G with older boot roms and not for any other type of iPhone.

This afternoon my EDGE on my iPhone 3Gs stopped working. I checked the APN settings, checked whether 3G or other settings are turned on. Everything seemed fine, but the EDGE was not working.

I rebooted my phone using SB Settings, but it did not work. In this article I will share with you how I fixed it.

This probably started when the battery of my phone got too low (around 3 %) this morning. I charges the phone to full 100 % using the wall charger. I am assuming that low battery might have turned off /disabled EDGE for battery Saving. I checked whether 3G was enabled or not, i checked the APN settings on my iPhone, I checked Network connection settings, it also looked fine.

Later I realized that re-booting from SB Settings was actually a soft boot (in which the power is not cut off completely, just a restart of the firmware takes place). A soft re-boot might not be enough to bring back the 3G/EDGE to turn on again when the battery was even full.

Finally I rebooted using the power button on the top of the iPhone and it was completely tuned off. I restarted the iPhone after 10 seconds and everything was fine again. I can now access my EDGE / 3G network without any problems

Now I will share with you how to correctly Pair and Connect iPhone using Bluetooth with Windows 7 and Windows Vista in two separate sections below.

iPhone Pairing With Windows 7 Laptop / Desktop

Turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone from:

General > Settings > Bluetooth

Simultaneously on your Windows 7 PC, right click on Bluetooth icon in tray and click “Add a device” option.

This will show your iPhone in Bluetooth device search Window, select the Phone and click Next.

This above window will give you a pairing code to pair the iPhone. Put the code on iPhone screen as see below:

Click Next and It will pair the iPhone. However it will show some iPhone Peripheral Bluetooth drivers error. Just ignore that error message. Now on your Windows 7 PC click on Start  > Devices and Printers

Here you will see your iPhone as seen below, right click on it and click properties.

Uncheck the “Wireless iAP” option on the Services Tab of the properties Window and click OK.

Now again Right Click on the iPhone icon and create a shortcut. This will allow easy access from Desktop.

Now Right-click on iPhone icon on Desktop and select the option to “Connect using > Access Point”

That is it

You are now connected to iPhone Tethering from your Windows 7 PC.

iPhone Pairing With Windows Vista Laptop / Desktop

Turn on Bluetooth on your iPhone from:

General > Settings > Bluetooth

Right click on the tray icon and click on “Add a Bluetooth device”

This will start a pairing process just like it does in Windows 7. Refer to the above section on Windows 7 if you have difficulties in Pairing. After completion of pairing, you will see a success message like this.

After pairing, it will show errors of missing Bluetooth Peripheral Device Drivers like these below, just ignore these errors.

Now Right click on the Bluetooth tray icon and select “Show Bluetooth Devices”

Right Click on iPhone, click Properties :

Click on Services tab and uncheck the “Wireless iAP , Audio Source, and Device Synchronization” and click OK.

Right click on the Bluetooth tray icon and click “Join Bluetooth Personal Area Network”

This will open a Bluetooth Personal Area Network Device Window like you see below. Click on your iPhone under Access Points option and click Connect

That is it

This connects the iPhone to Windows Vista Laptop / Desktop via Bluetooth for internet tethering.

In this article I will share the manual 3G settings for Apple iPhone for BSNL and MTNL.

As MTNL and BSNL have not officially launched iPhone on their 3G network, so the iPhone does not come with pre-installed settings for BSNL or MTNL. Even if you try to get the automatic settings via SMS, you may not find iPhone compatible automatic settings from BSNL / MTNL.

If you are using an unlooked iPhone which can support BSNL/ MTNL SIM card, you have to add manual APN settings.

For APN Settings, go to

Settings > General > Network > Cellular Data Network

In cellular data setting, set the following

APN – bsnlnet

In cellular data setting, set the following

APN – mtnl3g

Username – mtnl

password – mtnl123

For prepaid Trump subscribers
