Yes, we got out hands on Blackberry 10 OS powered phone prototype which should be launched in Oct 2012, we got to see the device at Blackberry 10 Jam session happened today in New Delhi, India at Le Meridian.
There are no details about the device which was made official, we just got to see some apps being demoed and which looked great after being projected on TV with full resolution. As per the pictures we took of this alpha device it has a SIM tray slow for SIM card, one mini HDMI port for connecting it to TV and projecting the phone display to TV. It also had a micro USB slot with which you can connect it to your computer for data syncing and other files transfer as shown in the image below.
It has a 4.3 inch capacitive touch screen display. It was 16gb model and there was no Micro SD card slot to increase the storage of the phone. On the top it has a hole for Secondary Mic for noise cancellations, with power button to turn on the device with a 3.5 mm audio jack for the headphones as you can see in the image below.
On the bottom side of the phone, it had the large speaker grill.
The phone interface was Blackberry 10 new upcoming OS which looked very similar to blackberry playbook OS, the OS is nice and responsive but the phone looked like a smaller playbook tablet.
The OS version which was running in this device 10.04.197 and name of the device was Blackberry 10 Dev alpha
On the right side of the phone, it has the same volume rocker like you see in blackberry playbook.
You will also notice in another picture below, that it has a front camera which was like 1.3 Megapixel if I am correct, but I m not sure, it does have the ear phone speaker and proximity sensor as well visible in the image below.
Apart from this it have a touch screen keyboard but RIM is going to come up with two devices like this one with a on screen virtual keyboard and other with a physical keyboard. We used the keyboard and typed some random text on one of the prototype device, it was really easy and fast to type on this device using the on screen keyboard.
On the back side of the phone it had the camera [ 8 Megapixel If I m correct ] as shown in the image below.
Some other pictures of the device are below, as per RIM India, the final device will look little different from this one.
